Jeans and Boots

[size=2] An old cowboy visits a new church in his jeans and boots. After the service, the pastor greeted him and remarked, "We enjoyed having you here today, but before you return, you should have a talk with God about proper attire in church."

The next week, the cowboy returned wearing the same clothes, so the pastor approached him again. "I thought I told you to speak with God about what to wear when you came here, he said. The cowboy responded, "I did. But he didn't know because he'd never set foot in here before!"

That reminds me of a similiar one...

A poor old southern baptist man died & went to heaven. As he entered thru the pearly gates, God said that he may grant him one wish if he so desired to return to earth.

The man answered. well yes my Lord, there is one thing. God said, what is it. I always wanted to go to the big church with the fancy bell, and the beautiful windows, across the street from my little ol' church. Just to step into that church & worship with them, but they would not let me in. I sure would've like to go in there!

God said, "Me too"
