Without overstepping my boundaries and not teetering into a religious discussion, there are several things that I like about this book.

The first thing that struck me as profound after reading this book a second time (10 years after reading it the first time), was that I need to review what my priorities are when it comes to serving God.

The second thing was that there are so many similarities between the families the story was being told about, and how our families are.

I am hopeful that both young Russian Molokans on up to the elders pick up this book and read it. Even ifyou have read it in the past, pick it up and read it again. It has a very important message.

Again, I want to be respectful of the rules of this part of the forum. Youcan pm me if you would like to hear the rest of what I have to say about this book.

LK...I agree with your statement. I like the God will make everything happen, and to just trust in him. Even when you don't understand whats happening, or why things are going on. And to imagine you're sittin Gods hands and he's carrying and help you with life

I get it mud, good one.Big Grin*wall*

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is the foundation of all clear views of religion. He that is well-grounded in it will not generally be found a waverer, and carried about by every wind of new doctrine. Any system of training which does not make a knowledge of Scripture the first thing is unsafe and unsound.

Tonight I was at the UMCA Library and noticed they sell the book The Happiest People on Earth.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I recently was given some xerox copies (well, don't know if they were real xerox, maybe canon, ricoh or HP for all I know -- :?)

Anyway back to seriousness, these copies were in russian and they were excerpts from this book: The Happiest People on Earth. As I was reading it, I remembered this thread from last year.

In these copies, the excerpts were of the story of Дедушк Димос - Grandfather Demos of Kara Kala, near the Mountain of Ararat. On up to the historical recounting of the Molenia with the blemished steer that was butchered then found in the barn, hidden in a burlap sack then placed under a pile of wheat. The animal had a bad, white pussed eye, or something similiar to that.

Anyway as I was reading this copy, something struck me as odd. I have always heard that the Prophet that awakened in the spirit and left the room, walked out of the house and into the barn, then much to the surprise of Дедушк Димос, he walked back into the room with this very sack in hand & placed it on the prestol and point blank asked Дедушк Димос, have you something to confess. I had always understood this prophet to be Efim Gerasamich Klubnikin. Well, in the these russian copies it did not read that way!

I then went hunting for my copy of this book in english, (took a while to locate) and when I found it, I began to read it to see if it read the same in english as the russian copies of the excerpts I had in hand did. Well, they did read the same. When I read it years ago, I never caught the language that the prophet was NOT Efim Gerasomich Klubnikin. Because I had always heard that it was, and skipped right over this verbiage.

For those who have a copy of the book and are in the same boat & also thought the same as I, and are now curious; read pages 16-22

It says that Grandfather became aware that a "Group of Russian" Hostee were going to come to Kara Kala. Grandfather had to prepare the meal for the Molenia because his yard was the best to accomodate so many people. When this group started to arrive by wagons, coming in over the mountains, - grandfather saw a distinguished looking man seated next to the driver of the lead wagon. He was commanding in stature and he was the patriarch, prophet & leader of the group. It was this very person, a guest coming to Kara Kala Armenia - from Russia who prophesied & brought the diseased head and caused the series of events to convert Дедушк Димос and accept the Holy Spirit. It could not have been Efim Gerasomich Klubnikin because he was a resident of Kara Kala!

I asked my uncle (he was the one who gave me the copies), if he knew who the elder prophet was & he said that it was Иван Михайлич Бучнив

This is the same prophet that resurected a dead man, and the same prophet that prophesied against pahod to America. He was not against pahod, just that if that movement occured, the youth would be lost, wearing neckties would be normal, and some other things were said in the prophecy I don't remember. Maybe someone else knows???

Anyway, just thought I would share this. It was interesting to me.

Interesting, I always knew Efim G Klubnikin had no part of this story. Due to the fact that he was a resident of Kara Kala and it just didn't make sense, butI never heard Иван Михайлич being involved.

The prophet Иван Михайлич Бучнив also prophesied in the year 1895 on Feb 5th that Makcim G. Rudometkin, King of Spirits never tasted death. I will post that prophecy later, its a little longer and in Russian, but its also very interesting.
