Quote:1 Corinthians 12

12:1 With regard to spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 12:2 You know that when you were pagans you were often led astray by speechless idols, however you were led. 12:3 So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

12:4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 12:5 And there are different ministries, but the same Lord. 12:6 And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. 12:7 To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. 12:8 For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 12:10 to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 12:11 It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.

Care to share any of the thoughts???

There are gifts, ministries, and fruit, allfrom the same Spirit. It is written thruout the Scriptures of what they are. We need to recognize and understand each one of them so we can see them in others, know which one(s) we individuallyhave been blessed with so we can work as one, with others, as thebodyof Christ. It is not bad to ask for more gifts, as a matter of belief, it is encouraged to ask for more because it will be given, along with the responsibility. Use these gifts for your ministry and see the fruit of the Spirit in abundance.

This is just a taste of what was spoken.

Have you received your gift(s)?

Have you started your ministry?

Have you seen the fruit?

Have you had your Day of Pentecost?

1 John 2:7-11

Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.

[8] Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
[9] He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still.
[10] He who loves his brother abides in the light, and in it there is no cause for stumbling.
[11] But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

[line]
Just a little historical commentary here; We all know Christ went to the sick, lame, lepers, etc. It wasn't because the Pharisses & Sauducees couldn't help them, it was because they wouldn't help them. They were thier own Jewish brothers but they claimed they were not and interestingly enough, used the law to make this claim. In thier view, they were afflicted and therefore sinners. Thus, to them they were not Jewish.

Whats interesting is, some bibles do not use brother and substitue "Christian". Brother envelopes a larger pool whereas "Christian" gives one wiggle room to say "Well he is not a Christian and therfore I can hate him". Yet Christ said to love your enemies....who was the main enemy of the Jews of that era?......The Romans. It never ceases to amaze me how people constantly change a word here and there in order to justify themselves.

When faith is chained to doctrine, truth becomes heresy and God is forgotten.

And Jesus Christ say's, the greatestcommandment &giftof all is "LOVE!".

Mark 12

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Proverbs 6

6:12 A worthless and wicked person

walks around saying perverse things;

6:13 he winks with his eyes,

signals with his feet,

and points with his fingers;

6:14 he plots evil with perverse thoughts in his heart,

he spreads contention at all times.

6:15 Therefore, his disaster will come suddenly;

in an instant he will be broken, and there will be no remedy.

6:16 There are six things that the Lord hates,

even seven things that are an abomination to him:

6:17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,

and hands that shed innocent blood,

6:18 a heart that devises wicked plans,

feet that are swift to run to evil,

6:19 a false witness who pours out lies,

and a person who spreads discord among family members.

Jerimiah

8:4 The Lord said to me,[sup]9[/sup] “Tell them, ‘The Lord says,
Do people not get back up when they fall down?
Do they not turn around when they go the wrong way?[sup]10[/sup]
[sup]11[/sup]
continually turn away from me in apostasy?
They hold fast to their deception.[sup]12[/sup]
They refuse to turn back to me.[sup]13[/sup]
[sup]14[/sup]
but they do not speak honestly.
None of them regrets the evil he has done.
None of them says, “I have done wrong!”[sup]15[/sup]
All of them persist in their own wayward course[sup]16[/sup]
like a horse charging recklessly into battle.
[sup]17[/sup]
The turtledove, swallow, and crane[sup]18[/sup]
recognize[sup]19[/sup] the normal times for their migration.
But my people pay no attention
to[sup]20[/sup] what I, the Lord, require of them.[sup]21[/sup]
[sup]22[/sup] those who teach it[sup]23[/sup] have used their writings
to make it say what it does not really mean.[sup]24[/sup]
[sup]25[/sup]
Since they have rejected the word of the Lord,
what wisdom do they really have?
