lol, that song can be used to torture people.

Yeah....I think thats against International Law and Geneva Conventions...didnt' Pres Bush authorize it for its use in Gitmo? But...

This one is not as bad.

When faith is chained to doctrine, truth becomes heresy and God is forgotten.

Couldn't open the link Red.

Though not a music video, here is one that is good for all parents or role models.

Here is the link just in case the video doesn't work.

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is the foundation of all clear views of religion. He that is well-grounded in it will not generally be found a waverer, and carried about by every wind of new doctrine. Any system of training which does not make a knowledge of Scripture the first thing is unsafe and unsound.

jmrushin shared this song and video in the Christian music section. The more I listen to it the more meaning it has, in fact I ended up buying this CD.

"Stained Glass Masquerade"

Is there anyone that fails
Is there anyone that falls
Am I the only one in church today feelin' so small

Cause when I take a look around
Everybody seems so strong
I know they'll soon discover
That I don't belong

So I tuck it all away, like everything's okay
If I make them all believe it, maybe I'll believe it too
So with a painted grin, I play the part again
So everyone will see me the way that I see them

Are we happy plastic people
Under shiny plastic steeples
With walls around our weakness
And smiles to hide our pain
But if the invitation's open
To every heart that has been broken
Maybe then we close the curtain
On our stained glass masquerade

Is there anyone who's been there
Are there any hands to raise
Am I the only one who's traded
In the altar for a stage

The performance is convincing
And we know every line by heart
Only when no one is watching
Can we really fall apart

But would it set me free
If I dared to let you see
The truth behind the person
That you imagine me to be

Would your arms be open
Or would you walk away
Would the love of Jesus
Be enough to make you stay

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is the foundation of all clear views of religion. He that is well-grounded in it will not generally be found a waverer, and carried about by every wind of new doctrine. Any system of training which does not make a knowledge of Scripture the first thing is unsafe and unsound.

Here is a nice mellow song, perfect for a day of thanksgiving.

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/e_4g8_e16dc[/flash]

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is the foundation of all clear views of religion. He that is well-grounded in it will not generally be found a waverer, and carried about by every wind of new doctrine. Any system of training which does not make a knowledge of Scripture the first thing is unsafe and unsound.

A beautiful thanksgiving passage:

Blessed is the Lord my God, and blessed is Your holy and honorable name for ever. Yes, all Your works bless You for ever.
2. Bestow Your Mercy upon us Lord, for we rely upon You.
3. Deliver Your people Lord, and bless those of Your inheritance.
4. Attend to them and take them into Your fold as a shepherd would his flock. And pasture them at green places and at the waters of peace, the heavenly fountain near the source of the stream of the waters of eternal life, and with the bread of that beautiful Paradise of sweetness.
5. Of this I speak to You truly and truly.
6. Let each one heed, "Believe in the One who sent Me and Him to follow Me, and you shall not see death for every."
7. For the Spirit gives life unto all. Even that which is decaying is resurrected from the earth, and every plague and illness is healed. Yes, verily. Amen.

I like how you can hear him smiling with joy as he's singing.

Yeah, maybe that is what I couldn't put my finger on? His whole attitude while singing the song, his joyous smile & enthusiasm for things to come?

Praise & glory to the Almighty.

Thanks.

I heard this song for the first time and really liked it & thought I would share it. I thought it was awesome.

Lyrics:

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

I came across this video & it has a very powerful message. Got me to tears. I think it may have come to being due to a situation that happened almost 10 years ago now, the Columbine school shootings.

I remember that story, but the one thing that came out of that, that I remember most - because many radio talk shows & christian stations were talking about it at that time, was because of two specific girls: "Cassie Bernall & Rachel Scott". I remember the story of how Cassie Bernall was killed when one of the killers came to her, and asked a question: "Do you believe in Jesus/God". When she answered - YES, The killer mockingly said "Why" then pulled the trigger & killed her. Rachel Scott too, was known to be a believer and follower of Christ.

A little about the girls:

Anyway, here is the video I found:

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/36JjIAjkheY[/flash]

Lyrics:

I have lived among you (lived among you) here on earth (here on earth)
I have shown you love (I have shown you love)
I have shown you worth (shown you just how much you’re worth)
Now it’s nearly over (now it’s over) you will find (you will find)
That the spirit will remind you
Of all the things I had in mind
Now I want you to remember

Chorus 1:
All men will know (all men will know)
All men will find (all men will find)
All men will see (all men will see)
That you are mine (that you are Mine)

Repeat Chorus 1

Now the time is coming (time is coming) I must go (I must go)
But the Comforter will guide you (He will be your guide)
In the things you need to know (show you what you need to know)
No it won’t be easy (it’s not easy) you will see (you will see)
They will hate you and despise you
All the same they did to me (they will do to you the same to me)
Now I want you to remember

Repeat Chorus 1 (x2)

Very soon His own disciples found
The testing quickly came around
To share their faith with boldness, without fear (without fear)
Now today we face an equal test
Divinely called to do our best
To share with the world - what will they hear? (what will they hear?)

Repeat Chorus 1

Chorus 2:
All men will know (all men will know) (all will know)
All men will find (all men will find) (all will find)
All men will see (all men will see) (all will see)
That you are mine (that you are Mine) (that you are mine)

All men will know [held]
Repeat Chorus 2

Repeat Chorus 2 (x2)
