I agree, once again makes you think?
Hmmm. Who is singing the original? Yes, very familiar tune - a very popular song. What I hear is the tune to the "Pripev". Which we sing 7 times in a row, as we then begin to conclude the song. Nice find Deda |

Hi Damedic,
I think that tune is similar to our "seven angels" song. But I could be wrong... Thanks. |

This is not the onlycase of this. I have a russian polka cd... accordian and all. One of the songs sounded VERY familiar so I looked in the "pesnik" and lo and behold there it was !!! Some of the wording is a "little" different but it is most certainly the same song. I don't believe this is that uncommon with some of our songs. I know some Molokan business that have Russian (non-Molokan) employees working for them, sing along to our songs. I asked one of them how he new it? Said his Baboonya used to sing it to him. A thorough knowledge of the Bible is the foundation of all clear views of religion. He that is well-grounded in it will not generally be found a waverer, and carried about by every wind of new doctrine. Any system of training which does not make a knowledge of Scripture the first thing is unsafe and unsound. -J. C. Ryle |
