I'll start.
The one that really was amazing was the speach given by the 'father' at Ruskybear's chi and wedding. It was WOW! The other one was given by 'forest' at my brothers wedding. |

You know, every time I hear the "I have a dream" speach, I get goose bumps. I wonder if MLK had any idea how great that speach would come out.
As for Molokans, I think just about any speach given by Dyadz Fred Prohoroff is great. Another great speach was the one given by Dyadz Paul Hozen at Jeremy & Vetta's extini for their last child. That was pretty moving. |

I was just pondering a thought about speaches made as Pavel made an excellant point about did MLK ever imagine the outcome of his speach?
Do our speakers in church ever ponder the outcome of their speach given in church/anywhere? |

I believe that most just go through the motions and make form speeches. For example:
Dear Brothers and Sister, Thank you for this opportunity to speak to you today. We are gathered here today for [type of doing] which[name of people having the doing] have invited us all here to participate in. It is a good thing that [name of people having the doing] are having this[type of doing]. Praise God that he gave us this opportunity to come and participate in this [type of doing]. Praise God that he sent his only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who shed his blood for us, that through Him we receive eternal life. I would like to read a verse from the [randomly picked scripture]. This is a very important verse because it shows how important [type of doing] is for not just [name of people having the doing], but for all of us. I wish upon [name of people having the doing] good health, fortune, peace, and love. Thank you for your attention. |

 Oye, thats so
true. The dela I was at last weekend, everyone did that. How funny, that one never takes the time to realize whats going on around then. Wonder what the couple thought during the speach. Or if they even understood Russian enough to get whats being said? I wonder how many speakers just fill in those blanks and just go thru the motions and not give any thought to how those words they speak will effect those listening around them. I was at Samarins church a couple of weeks ago and a young man from Auzzyland gave a speach in English. It was one of those speaches that made you go HMM...I wonder and made you really think about what he said. One of those 'from the heart' speaches and very much appreciated. Anyhow, so Pavel when you give a speach, do you ponder what the outcome will be? Or anyone else for that matter? Does anyone ponder what the outcome will be? Will they bring someone closer to Christ or turn them away? |
