Sorry guys did not mean to bring back an old topic... but

Giving besed-ee is a cherished thing. You have the opportunity to touch a soul. Hoping that some consideration is given to your words. Hopefully they are not canned similiar to the example of Pavel's. But even thoughI was once told, if you ever get up to speak & only read the words as it is written in the Holy Scriptures, you can't go wrong! I sort of agree with that. Lets not take the scriptures & water it down to not worth listening to, guys.

Anyway...

Scripture leads me to my convictions & to my belief systems/patterns just as it does to my faith. As far as being honored to be asked to give a beseda, I hope & pray that my message is just that, a Message from the Lord to an accepting heart & soul. One passage especially makes me want to get through to as many people as possible, even if they come in a sorry state & I do try. I don't always hit the home run, but I do attempt because I want to make a point - that hopefully a seed has been planted, by me. Ithen hope another will water it but I know that ultimately God gives it growth.

The passage I am meaning is Isaiah's, from chapter 6, as Apostle Paul quoted him saying:

26" 'Go to this people and say,
"You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."
27For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them

Pretty sad state of people, I think! If we read the text, the context was, Apostle Paul was rebuking them saying just before the quote, "The Holy Spirit was right, and it was the truth when he spoke to your fathers"!!! That was Chapter 28 of Acts.

Do we have the same type of people in attendance in our congregations today. Really not listening to the word of God for one reason or another until they utterly forget that if they only seek they will find, if they only open their eyes & heart, God can heal them?

Oooops, I am sorry. Just realized I got somewhat scriptural in the wrong forum. Sad Sorry, if needed we can move the topic & start a new thread where it belongs...

That is if it gets more discussion.

Please, please don't *ban* Me.

I just woke up, remember?
