What is your take on them banning this game? Is this a ban on free censorship? Ok I did not know that there was a thread already on this sorry. But why this one game and do they know you can play porn DVD's on PS-2.

I think it was right. It should have had the Adult tag to it and have to be carded to buy it. This destroys confidence in the ratings system and people do use it. Whenever I'm at target I occasionallyhear a kid say "Mom I want that game" and the mother says "sorry, you'll have to wait till your older for that one."

Just like movies, watching Disney's Bambi you should feel confident its appropiate for children.

Well for u parents who worry about what kind of games your kids play xbox360 and ps3 r going to have a game ratings lockonit, meaning if they r under 18 u the parent can lock it so they cannot play any good games. If ur kid is under 18 and has sna andreas I guess gamestop emplyees really dont give a hoot now do they:shock:

That....or the Parents are not paying attention. Just toss them a game and don't pay attention to them for a week.

Parent's don't really pay attention for a week because the game gets the Kids out of their hair for about a week or so...or however long it takes them to pass the whole game. Then they kinda question or laughat itwhen the Kid decides to hook San Andreas to the 65 inch television in the living room. NOTE: playing the game on a 65 inch tv also makes it easier to read the map..

Ok so what everyone is saying is this game is bad for the kids, but let me ask another ? if this game is bad, kids have been playing cop's and robbers with guns B-4 I was born. I guess everyone is missing the point when the government get involved with things more of the freedoms are taken away from you and me. I have kids I also have one of the other grand auto games and also hitman. I do throw the kids in front of the TV to get them out of our hair BUT I beat it in there head if they try to play my game the belt will come out, and let me tell you I have never seen them play one of my games yet they do ask all the time to play it but I say no. :dude:

On the other note however, the link on the other thread shows that there isn't any correlation with violence in video games vs. violence in youth. But the media is obivously sensationalizing and implying there is.....hmmm...maybe lawyers won't be the first people going to hades Tongue

Thought about this for a bit, what if video games are actually eliminating violence in youth. For one, they are getting an outlet to release pent up frustration. Second, what causes youth to have aggression on each other....differences and lack of common ground. But when the next great title comes out, they all buy it and then all collaborate to get through the game, give tips, tell each other the "cheats" and hidden areas. They all have something in common now. The only arguement they are going to focus on is Playstation vs. X-Box, whose going to kill each other over that?
