Isn't that a scary movie? *scared*I rather pass if that one is scary; I don't need any nightmares, but just a good night sleep. Smile

Hmm...The Villiage...with*heart*Joaquin Phoenix*heart*, total cutie...I'd marry him! Anyhow..yes...I've seen the movie...a few times...just to really figure it out. It's even more interesting the 2nd or 3rd time of watching it. Hmm...why don't we do what they did....and live that kind of lifestyle? Ha! It's not really scary...ok...I lied...I jumped a few times. It's a good movie though!

2 Real - don't worry this movie isn't a "Horror" movie. I fought with my wife because I HATE those kind of movies just like you and I didn't want to go and see it, but I was really glad that I saw it. It's a great movie with a good story line to it.Rentit.....and tell us what you think

It is a good movie. One of those where you see the ending and go "huh"? Then you want to see it again to put all puzzle pieces together.

When faith is chained to doctrine, truth becomes heresy and God is forgotten.

I remember when this movie was in the theaters and it was advertised as a scary movie. Due to the posts here, I decided to watch it and boy was I surprised. Who would have thought of ever creating a nature preserve for humans.

What I thought, though, is that there has got to be a better way to keep people within the nature preserve than by fear. Shyamalan really keeps you thinking throughout the movie, but in the end, all of the pieces fit together.

So, who's interested in actually doing something like this, where, how much land is needed, maintenance costs, any reliance upon modern medicine, what about electricity (gererate your own with solar powered cells?),running water, sewer systems, utilization of metal (who knows how to mine and will your plot of land have any ore?),government system (or just do what the elders say? but then, who is an elder?) manufacturing of glass for jars and eyeglasses (who knows how to make eye glasses?), milling lumber into usable wood, furniture making, etc.
