Hello,

Here is a powerful video that some friends of mine worked on over the past year or so. It is a powerful video that correlates, SADLY the massacre of human life taking place here in America through abortion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y2KsU_dhwI

Please pass along the video link to people through email, Facebook, Twitter, etc...

Thank you.

Steve
Thumbs down.
I thought the movie/documentary was very well done.
And not only I was glad I watched it, but my wife and kids all learned and were blessed by it.

We had some good family discussions after watching it.

I sure am glad that we still have Christians around that not only wear their Christianity on their sleeve, but shout it from the roof tops.
27 “What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.
Matthew 10:27 NASB95
27 Что говорю вам в темноте, говорите при свете; и что на ухо слышите, проповедуйте на кровлях.
Matthew 10:27 RST

19 My soul, my soul! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart! My heart is pounding in me; I cannot be silent, Because you have heard, O my soul, The sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war.
Jeremiah 4:19 NASB95
19 Утроба моя! утроба моя! скорблю во глубине сердца моего, волнуется во мне сердце мое, не могу молчать; ибо ты слышишь, душа моя, звук трубы, тревогу брани.
Jeremiah 4:19 RST

1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
Isaiah 62:1 NASB95
1 Не умолкну ради Сиона, и ради Иерусалима не успокоюсь, доколе не взойдет, как свет, правда его и спасение его - как горящий светильник.
Isaiah 62:1 RST

Thanks Steve for sharing!

Did you watch the movie all the way through?

If so, what exactly is "thumbs down" about it?

So Kevin, how am I supposed to interpret that? That if someone isn't loudly proclaiming they are X-tian that they are not followers of Christ?

Matthew 6

[1] "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
[2] "Thus, when you give alms, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
[3] But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
[4] so that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
[5] "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
[6] But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Ok...it starts off with interviewing a bunch of fruit loops who no nothing about Hitler....ok, really? How many people did he have to ask to get that response? If anything, its a testament to failing educational standards...or the parents lack of concern for their education. Oh then, you get a neo-nazi to interview....oh geez, what a surprise at what comes out of his mouth (sarcasm). Seriously, I've seen a lot worse...and not by neo-nazi's, but plain old everyday "Americans".

Take out Hitler? Ok...remember that.

Then they make a comparison to the Jewish Holocaust caused by the Nazi's...ok really? Just how stupid are people? So tell me, are people who have abortions planning and systematically rounding up people who are pregnant and forcing them to have abortions? Are they being put into camps? Get real. Oh and "Take out Hitler"....so are they implying if someone is having an abortion, its ok to take them out? Blow up an abortion clinic lately Steve? This gives them justification to do so.

And then he slam interviews the same fruit loops....geez....what a surprise how things turned out...for now, but what about tomorrow? If they were that fickle and easily convinced today...just how easily will they be convinced otherwise.

Here's a novel thought, how about focusing on the real issues of abortion rather than wearing horse blinders and say "Its bad, the Bible says so"....gee, nobody knows that (sarcasm). How about focusing on:

1. The economic incentive to have an abortion rather than keep it. That being, the slashing of government funding (ironically by the same people who are against abortion) for those single mothers on welfare. If they can't live themselves or provide for the child, you are giving them a huge incentive to abort. Don't want them to live off your tax dollars forever? Simple solution, provide daycare at colleges, while they attend classes and *gasp* get the skills to earn a decent income.

2. How about the negative social stigma of being a single mother (a negative stigma propagated...yet again by the so called "Christian right")? Praising motherhood instead of shaming them would go a long way.

3. Oh and how about educating people on the advantages of adoption? You know, show how people who have no children for whatever reason become overjoyed once they can adopt....shoot, I've seen it here at work. Nah...can't do that, no fear involved and the X-tian right needs fear.

4. Show how grateful those who were adopted and not aborted maybe? And what they can become *cough* Steve Jobs *cough*. But nooo..got to have a video equating those who decide to have an abortion with Nazis.

5. Oh and perhaps give father's more rights? It is half their DNA afterall.

6. How about more women shelters....you know, in case of abusive parents who might force them to have an abortion. Let me guess, you didn't think about that, did you? Sometimes, it isn't the woman's choice.

7. What about education to prevent unwanted pregnancies? Even if you don't exactly agree with the method. Afterall, whats more important, preventing abortion or steering people into a gray area for the time being that's more manageable and perhaps more effective and changing peoples attitude later.

Abortion is just flat out wrong, but scaring and shaming people by the X-tian right will do nothing. C'mon, do you actually think the majority who do have an abortion actually want to do this? If you do, then you are out of touch of reality (then, when it comes to the X-tian right....it doesn't surprise me). Whats going to get more results? Sitting down with someone whose contemplating this horrible decision and showing them all the alternatives and advantages? Or judging them and condemning them (such as equating them with Nazi's) which will more likely push them over the edge....not to mention, turn against the Bible.

And the best part of this video "don't vote for a politician who is for abortion"....oh good grief. How about a real politician that believes in the sanctity of life that's, oh I don't know, not just against abortion, but against the death penalty, anti-war, believes in helping single parents, etc. You know, maybe change the current political discussion on this for the better? But no, focus on only one aspect and to hell with the rest....even if it might be influencing the opposite reaction of what your trying to accomplish.

Finally, those who are inspired by this, it just shows me how shallow your thinking is. Rather than look at the whole picture, focus on one single narrow aspect and come back with a narrow view. The problem isn't just making this illegal again...all you do is force those seeking abortion into back alley "clinics" or into another country where it is legal. You need to have a complete change of attitude and show the positives of foregoing abortion. Continual negative reinforcement (particularly by the X-tian right) will only exacerbate the problem. The church is where your supposed to appeal for help on problems, not where to get condemned. In short, this phoney documentary is nothing new. There are plenty of X-tian right videos that demonize abortion...but again still short on education. All it does is reinforce shallow thinking on the X-tian right and does little to address a much bigger problem.

And....why are you pushing your hate-tainted evangelism here Steve? Thought you walked away for good. Its not like abortion is promoted among Molokans, whereas the X-tian right is doing a bang up job of convincing others in their arena.

Your ramblings against people who, I believe are led by the Holy Spirit in a creative manner to change people's mind about the crime of ending the life of an unborn child and also give them an opportunity to know about Jesus Christ, who came to make them Spiritually whole, seems quite puzzling to me.

Sure, women are not forcibly led to an abortion clinic to kill their child in a nazi like fashion, but I believe that our government and society encourages them to do exactly that. To put the blame on Evangelicals as a whole, for not using tactics that you, yourself are hostile to and do not approve of, seems to be counter-productive to your courageous belief that, "Abortion is just flat out wrong." Is this not what this video is trying in a creative manner convince these people and to those who may see it?

If one completely innocent baby is not killed because of any one's attempt to change the mind's of anyone who may see this video, is a worthy endeavor of eternal consequences, wouldn't at least agree to that point?

Thanks for your time,

Spiritually whole? Or Spiritually disfigured? Just because they share your sympathies does not mean they are going about it the right way and can do more damage than good. Would you trust someone who believes in holistic medicine only to treat you during a heart attack? Or would you want a doctor? A holistic medicine witch doctor will do little to help you and perhaps cause more damage...and they are doing more damage.

Quote:Sure, women are not forcibly led to an abortion clinic to kill their child in a nazi like fashion, but I believe that our government and society encourages them to do exactly that.

Then why make a comparison that can severely backfire? (Looking from the comments on the video...it did. Only X-tians are defending it...then of course, they just play the "were persecuted" card.) Government and society encourage abortion? Uh….hello, did you even bother reading what I posted? You blame government and society which shows more shallow thinking on your part. Whereas I gave examples and pointed out how it does so, where are your examples, points, etc. Or is your point just government bad, society bad…end of story. Oh and by the way, the government and society is a reflection of the populace, when you point the finger at them you are pointing it back at yourself. You are admitting that as a populace, there has been a fundamental change in attitude when it comes to abortion ever since it was legalized. And, who has done a better job of changing that attitude? If you blame government and society, you are only blaming yourself. But with the growth of atheism, agnosticism, etc. in this country and “recognized” X-tian religions shrinking…I think its pretty obvious whose voice is becoming less effective…but they still trudge along using the same tactics which is obviously not working. Plus they refuse to own the problem, look at short term results and have no plan for the long term. But people like you bury their head in the sand and say “they said Jesus, so it must be good”…The Spanish Inquisition said “Jesus” to, but the methods were in opposition to his teachings.

Quote:To put the blame on Evangelicals as a whole, for not using tactics that you, yourself are hostile to and do not approve of, seems to be counter-productive to your courageous belief that, "Abortion is just flat out wrong." Nope. Get real, this video was not created to convince people to go against abortion…nowhere near that. It was created for lemmings like you and Steve, to give a false sense of accomplishment that what you are doing, what others are doing is actually accomplishing something. And yet, the problem continues to get worse. Critically think for a change and realize that if indeed this is as successful everyone claims, then abortion should be more taboo….but the opposite is happening. Do you not see the disconnect there? Just because you slap the name “Jesus” on it does not mean success or means he approves of it either just because you are infatuated with the name (and not his teachings, principles, etc.).

And I can’t help but chuckle a bit here, as Molokans, we have our problems and issues…but for those who advocate we should become like Protestants…really? We can fix our problems by following models of failure?

And, where does it mention not to evangelise in the Scripture you quoted?

You should mention to your elders not to put money on the table anymore either, aren't people there watching?

And, you shouldn't pray anymore outloud either in the building, or out in the street during a funeral when taking the body out of the building.

Taking your argument to it's logical conclusion, everyone should stay home in their closet.
